Background:
Over the past years, the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova (UNDP) witnessed a number of successes and good achievements in local development field using mechanisms for citizens’ and civil society’s transparent involvement in decision making and implementation processes.
For the purpose of ensuring sustainability for the results already achieved in the field, it is necessary to continue making efforts so as to get community and local public authorities involved in local, sustainable, community-led development.

Purpose:
To select and train a core pool of experts and resource persons from local NGOs of the Republic of Moldova to improve the knowledge and skills, and get acquainted with the main human security issues (human trafficking & home violence), legal aspects and practical ways of preventing and combating human trafficking and home violence in Moldova, especially at local level.  These will be done through:

Eligibility:
Teams of experts affiliated to NGOs with strong background, capacities and experience in local development, social issues, human security issues, working with community groups and local public authorities will be considered.  Each NGO should delegate 2 teams of 2 highly-qualified experts (total - 4) based on the following criteria to participate in the ToT: 

  • Trainer/facilitator: having process facilitation (strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation at local level) and interactive/participatory training design skills;
  • Expert in local public administration: knowing the Moldavian legal environment in which local governments function;
  • Consultant on social/human security issues: knowing and understanding these concepts, legal aspects, practical means of prevention.

  • List of delegated experts
  • CVs of experts.
