ASSISTING COMMUNITIES TOGETHER (ACT) PROJECT

EIGHTH PHASE (2012-2013)

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), established the ACT Project to financially support - through grants - local human rights activities carried out by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), local associations and other similar institutions.

Throughout the years, the ACT project has focused on supporting human rights education, training and public information activities in the context of the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education (1995-2004) and of the World Programme for Human Rights Education (2005-ongoing). Since 1998, OHCHR and UNDP have supported over 900 initiatives in more than 70 countries.  

The eighth phase will support proposals for human rights education activities on issues covered by any of the six thematic priorities of OHCHR for the 2012-2013 biennium, which are: discrimination; impunity and the rule of law; economic, social and cultural rights; migration; violence and insecurity; and international human rights mechanisms.[1] 

The deadline for submitting the applications is 10 June 2012. The applications should be completed in English. The duration of the projects shall not exceed six months (projects may be shorter) and end no later than 30 July 2013. The maximum amount for each grant is US$ 7,000.

The budget of the project shall be provided in US $ and should be filled out as exemplified in Annex 2 (attached below). The funds will be disbursed in two instalments (80% upon signature of the Grant Agreement and the second instalment upon approval of the final report accounting for how the grant was spent), therefore the applicants are advised to plan the project activities accordingly.

Oficiul Înaltului Comisar pentru Drepturile Omului (OICDO) în parteneriat cu Programul Naţiunilor Unite pentru Dezvoltare (PNUD) a lansat Proiectul ”Susţinem Comunităţile Împreună” pentru a susţine financiar – prin oferirea de granturi – iniţiative locale în domeniul drepturilor omului ale organizaţiilor neguvernamentale (ONG-uri), asociaţii locale şi alte instituţii similare.

De-a lungul anilor proiectul ”Susţinem Comunităţile Împreună” a susţinut iniţiative, ce ţin de instruirea şi informarea cu privire la drepturile omului în contextul Decadei Naţiunilor Unite în domeniul Instruirii cu privire la Drepturile Omului (1995 – 2004) şi a Programului Global în domeniul Instruirii cu privire la Drepturile Omului (din 2005 pana în prezent). Din anul 1998 şi pînă în prezent OICDO şi PNUD au susţinut peste 900 de iniţiative în peste 70 de ţări.

A opta fază a Proiectului ”Susţinem Comunităţile Împreună” va susţine proiectele de instruire pe subiecte ce tin de oricare din cele sase tematici prioritare ale OICDO pentru 2012 – 2013: discriminare; impunitate si suprematia legii; drepturile economice, sociale si culturale; migratie; violenta si nesiguranta; mecanismele intenrationale de drepturile omului.[1]

Termenul-limită pentru depunerea cererilor de aplicare este 10 iunie 2012. Cererile de aplicare vor fi completate în limba engleză. Durata proiectelor nu va depăşi termenul de şase luni (durata proiectelor poate fi şi mai scurtă), iar implementarea proiectului nu va depăşi data de 30 iulie 2013. Suma maximă a proiectului nu va depăşi 7000 de dolari SUA.

Bugetul proiectului va fi prevăzut în dolari SUA şi va trebui completat în corespundere cu exemplul specificat în Anexa 2, ataşată mai jos. Fondurile vor fi alocate în două tranşe (80% la semnarea Contractului de Grant şi a doua tranşă după aprobarea raportului final, care va conţine detalii cu privire la cheltuielile primei tranşe), pentru acest motiv aplicanţii vor planifica activităţile proiectului corespunzător.
