Sale Conditions and Requirements

  • The vehicles can be examined on 18 May – 25 May 2009, between 09:00 and 17:00 at the following address: # 19, Petricani Street, Chisinau (Border Guard Service of Moldova);
  • The sale will be made to the highest bidder, based on the offers received;
  • Bids according to the form below shall be submitted in sealed envelopes to the UNDP Office at the address # 131, 31 August 1989 Street, Chisinau, not later than 17:00 (local time) on 29 May 2009. The bids shall be marked with the note “Auction on Defenders’ sale/EUBAM”. Late bids, or those submitted in un-sealed envelopes, shall not be considered. Bids can also be submitted electronically to the following email address: tenders-Moldova@undp.org;
  • UNDP reserves the right to reject any bid without providing the reasons for doing so;
  • Payment shall be made in cash or by bank transfer in Moldovan Lei at the UN Operational Rate of Exchange on the day of payment;
  • The buyer/buyers shall accept that the vehicles are sold on the “as they are, where they are” basis, in their current technical conditions without any written guarantees;
  • The sold vehicles shall not be subject to return or exchange;
  • The vehicles are not cleared by the customs;
  • UNDP will provide a receipt that will serve as the official bill of sale.  This bill of sale is required to complete the vehicle de-registration application and should be kept safe until the end of de-registration process;
  • UNDP will retain diplomatic license plates and registration documents in order to de-register the vehicles.  UNDP will arrange necessary documents (official letter to authorities to arrange the de-registration and customs declaration) within ten working days after receipt of payment.  The buyer shall be responsible for all further expenses related to vehicle registration;
  • The vehicles shall be handed-over only upon payment of full bid price;
  • Payment and receipt of vehicle shall be done within 5 working days following the announcement of the winner / winners;
  • UNDP shall bear no responsibility for any repairs or any other service charges of the sold vehicles;
  • The buyer shall bear all related transportation and insurance costs related to the purchased vehicles.
