The Programme «Support to Confidence Building Measures» is funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova. The goal of this Programme is to increase confidence between Chisinau and Tiraspol by implementing projects in the sphere of socio-economic development with active involvement and participation of Civil Society Organizations and Local Communities.

The Programme also aims at fostering development of the civil society in the Transnistrian region, and capacity building of local nongovernmental organizations to address more effectively the pressing social and community needs.

In order to meet this goal the «Support to Confidence Building Measures» Programme announces an Expression of Interest for Grants opened to nonprofit organizations registered on the Moldova territory including its Transnistrian region. The projects approved for funding will be implemented from October 2013 until September 2014.

Within the Expression of Interest, projects of up to 35,000 USD will be selected in the fields of media, arts and culture, sports, human rights protection and access to justice, social protection and healthcare. Applicants for grants will have considerable flexibility in identifying the actual needs and priorities of their communities and will be encouraged to submit promising joint confidence building project proposals.

Deadline for submission of proposals: Wednesday, July 31, 2013, 16.00 o’clock.

The documents can be sent either by mail at: tenders-Moldova@undp.org titled as “SCBM GP-2014”, or by post, or delivered physically in a sealed envelope (marked «SCBM GP-2014») to the following address: UNDP Moldova, 131, 31 August 1989 str., MD-2012, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. On Thursday, 20 June 2013 at 10:00 UNDP Moldova will organize a pre-bidding conference at its premises located at 29, Sfatul Tarii Street, room 305. Representatives of NGOs willing to apply under this grant competition are invited to attend this conference.
