National MDG 6 Acceleration Framework Workshop
Chisinau, February 9-10, 2012 - Chisinau, February 9-10, 2012 – UNDP and WHO, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova organized a National MDG6 Acceleration Framework (MAF) Workshop. The aim of the workshop is to identify, analyze and prioritize the existing bottlenecks in the process of accelerating progress in achievement of targets set under the MDG 6.
The workshop is a milestone in the process of public consultations over the intermediate deliverables under Step 1 in the MDG6 Acceleration Framework intervention in Moldova, final validation of focus groups results and structured debates over the potential bottlenecks that impede the implementation of prioritized interventions - Step 2 of the MAF methodology. Once the bottlenecks will be identified and prioritized, through wide consultative process, the list of possible and feasible solutions to accelerate progress will be developed and incorporated into a national MDG6 MAF Action Plan to be released by April 2012. The workshop is attended by more than 50 representatives of different line ministries, NGOs, academia, donors and specialists in HIB and TB from the Republic of Moldova.
