Background

Description of the Program

Under this Program women and men from the under-represented groups will be provided an opportunity to undergo a 3-6 months long internship with the UN agencies/entities present in Moldova to acquire the experience in the relevant areas of UN work. The candidates are expected to be identified through a competitive process, based on submitted applications.

Descrierea Programului

În cadrul acestui Program femeile și bărbații din grupurile sub-reprezentate vor avea posibilitate de a efectua un stagiu de 3-6 luni în agențiile/entitățile ONU prezente în Moldova pentru a acumula experiență în domeniile relevante ale activității ONU. Candidații vor fi identificați în urma unui proces competitiv, în baza cererilor depuse.

В рамках этой Программы, женщины и мужчины из малопредставленных групп будут иметь возможность провести стажировку в течение 3-6 месяцев в агентствах ООН в Молдове для приобретения опыта в соответствующих областях деятельности ООН. Кандидаты будут отобраны на конкурсной основе, на основании поданных заявок. 

Scope of work

Objective of the Program

To offer women and men from under-represented groups an opportunity to acquire the experience of work with UN in order to increase their competitiveness under UN job/consultancy competitions.

A oferi femeilor și bărbaților din grupurile sub-reprezentate oportunitatea de a obține experiență de lucru cu ONU pentru a-și spori competitivitatea în cadrul concursurilor de angajare sau oportunităților de consultanță ale ONU.

Цель Программы

Предоставить женщинам и мужчинам из малопредставленных групп возможность приобрести опыт сотрудничества с ООН в целях повышения их конкурентоспособности при последующем найме на работу.

Documents to be included

Submission of an Application

Women and men from the under-represented groups are requested to submit the following basic application package:

- Brief intention / motivation letter explaining why the applicant seeks a particular internship position (which shall be specifically named) and how it can help build further carrier and/or advance personal development objectives (also making reference to belonging to a particular under-represented group, and any eventual difficulties encountered in employment and studies because of this belonging);

- CV (brief description of candidate’s studies and previous experiences), and mentioning any special needs which need to be accommodated at the internship place;

- Optionally, Reference Letters from non-governmental organizations representing the interests of the relevant under-represented groups.

The documents need to be submitted in Romanian or Russian or English.

Additional application documents may be requested for some of the announced internship positions, as per the respective Terms of Reference.

The above documents have to be submitted:

  1. either electronically via e-mail to the following address: alina.gilca@undp.org;
  2. or in hard printed copy (in a sealed envelope) by mail or in person to the following address:

All applications should clearly state (in the subject of the e-mail message or on the envelope of the hard printed submission): the title of the internship position, and the name of the UN agency offering the relevant internship (these are mentioned in every Terms of Reference).

A person can submit an application to one or more announced internship positions.
