The work of the Centre for the Prevention of Trafficking in Women, coordinated by UNDP and funded by the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the US State Department, aims at ensuring access to justice for victims and potential victims of human trafficking. In 2004 the Centre delivered free legal assistance directly (486 consultations) as well as via its hotlines in Chisinau, Balti, Cahul and Ungheni (798 consultations).
