Background:

The Preparation of an HCFC Phase - Out Management Plan will result in elaboration of National Strategy focused on compliance with the 2013 freeze and 2015 reduction targets of HCFCs in the Republic of Moldova.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Additional data collection on industry profiles, baselines, inventory/consumption, etc. for various HCFC-consuming sectors/sub-sectors, through a survey team and other technical experts;
  • Data analysis by classification of data based on present and historical HCFC consumption by enterprise, sector, sub-sector and application, list of HCFC users segregated by sector/sub-sector;
  • Provide assistance in development of sector-wise draft proposal based on the data collected, and inputs from the stakeholder discussions and inputs to strategy development.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, related to refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
  • At least 5 (five) years experience in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sectors.
  • Good knowledge of refrigeration and air-conditioning: current situation, trends and problems to be solved.
  • Working experience with the governmental and non-governmental organizations and experience in implementing technical assistance projects.
  • Good computer skills.
