Project Interpreter/Translator - Project “Electoral Support to Moldova”

Background:
Through the “Electoral Support to Moldova” Project, United Nations Development Programme is assisting the Central Electoral Commission of Moldova (CEC) in democratic development in Moldova through strengthening of the electoral processes over the coming electoral cycles up to 2013 with immediate emphasis on the 2009 parliamentary elections.
Summary of key functions:
- Provide interpretation services (English/Romanian/Russian) during meetings, workshops and seminars and other Project’s activities;
- Provide written translation services (English/Romanian/Russian) of legislation, advocacy and information materials, Project documents, Project correspondence, and other;
- Provide editing, support and advice on translated works by part-time translators;
- Provide administrative support to organization of conferences, workshops, retreats.
Qualifications and skills required:
- University degree in English language, international relations, or related areas;
- 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible in interpretation with an international organization;
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc);
- Fluency in English, Romanian and Russian (written and oral).
