National Consultants to develop the traineeship programme for the National Institute of Justice

Background:
UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ a group of National Consultants to develop the traineeship programme for candidates enrolled in the initial training of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). 


Tasks and responsibilities:
In order to achieve objectives, the Contractor will:

  • Analyze and define the objectives of the traineeship programme for students enrolled in initial training programme of the NIJ;
  • Develop a detailed traineeship programme, taking into account the specifics of the training for judges and prosecutors, discuss it with relevant stakeholders and present to NIJ Council for approval.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • University degree in Law (an advanced degree, such as a LLM/MA or PhD would be an advantage);
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in the justice system;
  • Good knowledge of the training principles and standards for judges and prosecutors;
  • Experience in drafting training programmes would be an advantage;
  • Knowledge of foreign training  models would be an advantage;
  • Ability to analyze and generalize;
  • Excellent self-organization abilities;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Advanced communication abilities with representatives of justice system;
  • Proved work experience with international organizations and/or NGOs (successful experience in working with UNDP) is an asset;
  • Good knowledge of English is an asset.
