National Consultants on Communication for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration

Background:
The “Building Institutional Capacity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration” project has the overall objective of strengthening the institutional capacity of the MFAEI so that it can exercise its functions in a more efficient manner, operate transparently and fulfil its European Integration commitments.

Tasks and responsibilities:
The expected output for the national consultant’s assignment is to provide custom-tailored communication trainings and coaching to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration/Mass Media Department.
Training modules and their consecutiveness:

  • Public and mass media relations. Public message launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (2 days);
  • Effective Communication Techniques for Ministry’s spokesperson  (2 days);
  • Public events: from press releases to press conferences (2 days);
  • Public events: from press releases to press conferences (for staff working in embassies abroad) (2 days);
  • Effective Communication within the framework of European integration (2 days);

Eligibility criteria for potential candidates:

  • Academic background in communication, journalism, social sciences, public affairs, political science, and international relations or other related areas;
  • Experience in training and consulting of at least 3 years;
  • Ability to coach and conduct systematic skills transfer;
  • Activity plan and description of each module for which the consultant applies;
  • Detailed agenda on the proposed module and methodology used to carry out required activity;
  • List of didactic materials and practical support to be used in the training process.
