MCC Social and Gender Expert

Background:
UNDP supports the national development priorities of the Republic of Moldova through capacity building in the formulation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of development policies and programmes and through strengthening the national capacity to mobilize donor resources for their implementation. Within this framework UNDP provides support to national authorities in developing the Compact proposal for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).


Tasks and responsibilities:
The incumbent will produce social and gender policy analysis, estimations and impact assessments and will serve as a social and gender focal point within Millennium Challenge Corporation team.


Qualifications and skills required:

  • University degree in economics, social, humanitarian studies or other relevant field;
  • Good knowledge of social and gender issues related to Moldova’s environment;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in social and/or gender analysis;
  • Experience in conducting social and gender impact assessments;
  • Knowledge of donors working procedures is an advantage;
  • Fluent in both spoken and written Romanian and English; knowledge of Russian is desirable;
  • Good computer skills (MS Office).
