Background:
UNDP supports the national development priorities of the Republic of Moldova through capacity building in the formulation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of development policies and programmes and through strengthening the national capacity to mobilize donor resources for their implementation. Within this framework UNDP provides support to the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (FDPMO) in developing and updating the normative framework in macroeconomics and tax policy, energy and infrastructure, trade and quality infrastructure, and structural reforms and non-banking financial sector.
Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assess the current institutional and regulatory framework in Moldova in the required field;
  • Provide recommendations and support in the development of the normative framework;
  • Support and facilitate necessary dialogue between the FDPMO and line ministries with any supporting research and analysis as required;
  • Provide support to FDPMO in organization of workshops, seminars, round tables in the designated segment.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • A degree/post-graduate qualification in economics/finances;
  • At least 5 years overall professional experience;
  • Experience with central government institutions;
  • Good legal analysis and drafting skills;
  • Good writing skills;
  • Good spoken and written English.
