Project Driver- “Scaling-up the response to HIV/AIDS in the Uniformed Services of Moldova” Project

Background:

This project aims at supporting the development of effective mechanisms for comprehensive HIV/STI prevention measures in the uniformed services in Moldova. The project activities will aim to prevent HIV and other health risks, such as drug abuse and sexually transmitted infections among uniformed personnel. Under the second phase, the project t intends to create favorable conditions to utilize and learn from national and international experience. In addition, the project will provide possibility of spreading unique accumulated experience regarding HIV/AIDS prevention through the entire system (including educational institutions) of governmental uniformed agencies of Moldova.
Tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Ensure proper maintenance and serving of the assigning vehicle is taken place on day-to-day and report to the Head of Field Office on time;
  2. Regularly checks oil, water, battery charge, brakes, tires, etc. in order to keep the vehicle operational at all times;
  3. Drive office vehicle for transportation of authorized personnel and delivery/collection of cargo, pouch and other items;
  4. Make field trips in/or out-side the country;
  5. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, perform minor repairs and arrange for other related repairs;
  6. Make distribution of the Mission correspondence/material appropriate persons, mails and Mission documents;

Qualifications and skills required:

  • High school education;
  • Valid driver license of category B; Safe driving record;
  • Five years of work experience as a driver (recommendations required);
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable Traffic Rules of Moldova;
  • Skills in minor and emergency vehicle repair;
  • Experience of work for UN or other international organizations is an asset;
  • Knowledge of spoken English is required;
  • Excellent communication skills, including inter-personal.
