National Consultant on bookkeeping issues and taxation for ToT- “Increasing financial sustainability of Civil Society Organizations in the Republic of Moldova” Project

Background:
UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ a National Consultant to provide consultancy and assistance on bookkeeping issues and taxation for the Training of Trainers in provision of services by Non-governmental Organizations.

Tasks and responsibilities:
In order to achieve objectives the contractor will:

  • provide consultancy and assistance on bookkeeping issues and taxation to a group of national consultants in elaboration of the ToT programme and background materials in provision of services by NGOs;
  • provide recommendations, if needed, in order to ensure the authenticity of the ToT in provision of services by NGOs and increase the efficiency of the training process from the perspective of his/her professional experience;
  • provide assistance to national consultants during the delivery of the ToT in provision of services by NGOs by providing answers to the questions on bookkeeping issues and taxation according to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova addressed by participants;
  • elaborate and submit Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) in written which shall include a list of questions and answers to the questions on bookkeeping issues and taxation addressed by participants to ToT.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • University degree in law, economics or other relevant fields;
  • At least 3 years working experience in the fields relevant for the assignment;
  • Practical knowledge of the legal framework of the commercial, non-commercial and fiscal fields, and other fields relevant for the training subject: provision of services by NGOs.
  • Authentic working experience in providing consultancy in provision of services by NGOs will be taken as an advantage;
  • Successful experience in working with UN system organization or other international organizations would be an asset;
  • Skills in developing analytical and informative materials;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Excellent communications skills;
  • Initiative and resourcefulness;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Knowledge of Romanian. Knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Personal attitudes and qualities: responsibility, creativity, thoroughness, objectivity, flexibility and promptness.
