Two National Community Development Consultants - ILDP

Background:
Over the past years, the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova (UNDP) witnessed a number of successes and good achievements in local development field using mechanisms for citizens’ and civil society’s transparent involvement in decision making and implementation processes.
At present, UNDP is implementing Integrated Local Development Programme (ILDP). Two of ILDP components, Community Empowerment and Local Self-Governance and Participation Projects are dealing directly with local public authorities and community groups, and have major interventions at community level aiming to enable communities and integrate local public authorities in local and regional sustainable development.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance to communities in the elaboration of community development project proposal;
- Advice and support target communities in the process of project proposal evaluation and approval;
- Follow up and provide technical assistance to beneficiary communities at the stage of project implementation;
- Provide social supervision of communities at post implementation stage.
Qualifications and skills required:
- High education in civil engineering and /or architecture;
- At least 5 years experience operating in the domain of capital investments and community development programs;
- Fluent in Romanian and Russian;
- Basic computer skills;
- High level of responsibility, abilities to organize, proactive approach to solving the problems, and social and communication abilities.
