National Consultants to develop non-juridical specialised components of initial training curricula for judges and prosecutors for the National Institute of Justice

Background:
UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ a group of National Consultants to develop non-juridical specialized components of initial training curricula for candidates enrolled in the training provided to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). 
Tasks and responsibilities:
In order to achieve objectives, the Contractor will:

  • Desk review of the relevant document;
  • Analyze the objectives and the existing curricula components of the NIJ training  programme for students enrolled in the initial training provided by NIJ;
  • Given the approved methodology, develop the content of the curricula for initial training as per specific needs of the judiciary representatives (prosecutors and judges);
  • Develop curricula and/or training materials for specific topic(s) included in the ToR, taking into account the specifics of the training for judges and prosecutors, discuss it with relevant stakeholders and present to NIJ Council for approval;
  • Etc.

Qualifications and skills required:
Education:      University studies in fields related to indicated subjects (respectively Pedagogy, Foreign Languages, Law etc.)
Experience:

  • Extensive working experience in the fields indicated above;
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programmes;
  • Overall knowledge about legal education system.

Abilities:

  • Ability to analyze and generalize, to develop methodical and training materials;
  • Ability/capacity to provide consultancy services;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Efficient communications and writing skills in legal area;
  • Extensive PC skills, ability to use Internet;
  • Fluent in State Language, excellent knowledge of English and/or French

Personal qualities: responsibility, creativity, promptness and punctuality.
