Local Consultants (SSA) to Provide Training Services on Entrepreneurship Issues

1. Background

Better Opportunities of Youth and Women” project was launched in October 2004 by the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova (UNDP Moldova), funded by the U.S.Government through the U.S. Agency for International Development. Project implementation period is October 2004-March 2009. The overall purpose of the project is the social-economic integration of vulnerable groups, including graduates from boarding schools, vulnerable women and their children, through providing training for income generating economic activities, showcasing job opportunities and offering psychological care in a safe, supportive environment. To ensure beneficiaries social and economic reintegration the Project, in cooperation with local NGOs and LPAs supports the establishment of a network of approximately ten self-sustaining Social Reintegration Centres (SRC) in regions outside Chisinau: Edinet, Soroca, Drochia, Ungheni, Calarasi, Carpineni, Causeni, Comrat, Cahul.
To ensure successful implementation of Project’s objectives, the NGOs running the Centres will be provided with financial, material and technical support, in order to initiate and develop income generating activities. The NGOs partners will be encouraged to develop social entrepreneurship activities both directly and indirectly – through creation of social enterprises.
To achieve expected results, the “Better Opportunities for Youth and Women Project” has the task to select through this tender local consultants to carry out a number of trainings for NGO-partners involved in project implementation activities.

2. Tasks and responsibilities:

The objective of the assignment is to carry out a training programme on social entrepreneurship issues for 10 NGO-partners of BO project.
3. Qualifications and skills required:

  1. Academic background in economics, marketing or other related areas;
  2. Knowledge and expertise in Marketing and Strategic Management;
  3. Good analytical and writing skills.
