National Consultants (National Trainers)  - Civil Society Development Project

Background
UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ a group of National Consultants (short-term) to develop and deliver workshops for non-commercial organizations’ representatives in the field of diversification of financing sources.

Summary of tasks: For achievement of proposed objective, the National Consultants will:

    • participate at the trainings of trainers in the following fields: in the year 2007: fundraising (5 day ToT) and social entrepreneurship (5 day ToT); in the year 2008: provision of services by non-commercial organizations;
    • deliver pilot workshop programmes: module I “Fundraising” (4 days) and module II “Social entrepreneurship” (4 days), with a group of 15 local non-commercial organisations;
    • develop the concept of 3 training modules for non-commercial organisations’ representatives in the following fields: fundraising, social entrepreneurship and provision of services by non-commercial organizations (including agenda, working methods and procedures, manuals and evaluation forms);
    • deliver at least three workshops, one per each of the following areas: fundraising, social entrepreneurship and provision of services by non-commercial organizations;
    • elaborate and submit a final report on each training module delivered;
    • provide assistance and consultancy in elaboration and implementation of Strategies for diversification of financing sources at the local level;
    • participate in all working meetings directly related to his/her activity;
    • elaborate and submit a report on follow-up activities.

    Qualifications and skills required:

    • University degree in social sciences, pedagogy or other related fields.
    • At least 3 years of working experience in training of civil society’s representatives.
    • Working experience in fundraising, social entrepreneurship and service provision fields will be an asset.
    • Successful experience in working with UN agencies and international organizations would be an asset.
    • Ability to work in a team;
    • Initiative and resourcefulness;
    • Computer literacy;
    • Knowledge of Romanian. Knowledge of English and Russian will be an asset.
    Personal attitudes and qualities: responsibility, creativity, thoroughness, objectivity, flexibility and promptness.
