National Consultants (CSD Project) (short-term vacancies under SSA modality)

Background
UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ a group of National Consultants (short-term) for organization of discussions with Civil Society representatives on results of the “Study on Non-governmental Organizations in the Republic of Moldova” in key problems areas, identification of success stories, best practices and elaboration of recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
The identified key problems areas are: 1) limited capacities of the Non-governmental Organizations; 2) transparency and image of the non-governmental sector; 3) communication, advocacy and participation in the elaboration of policies; 4) financial sustainability of CSOs; 5) provision of services, quality, diversity. Qualified candidates are invited to apply for one or more of the key problems areas mentioned above. 

Summary of tasks:

• analyzing the results  of the “Study on Non-governmental Organizations in the Republic of Moldova”;
• organization and carrying out discussions with representatives of non-governmental organizations;
• elaboration of recommendations and best practices for relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills required:

• University degree in economics, social sciences, education or related fields;
• At least 5 years of practical experience in areas relevant for the assignment;
• Good knowledge of Civil Society in the Republic of Moldova;
• Proved experience in working with the international organizations;
• Developed skills in communication with different categories of people, including public officials and NGO representatives;
• Skills in analyzing, generalizing, and systematizing of information;
• Skills in developing analytical and informative materials;
• Excellent self-organization abilities;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Initiative and resourcefulness;
• Excellent computer skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Romanian, English and Russian will be an asset.
