The United Nations Development Programme office in Moldova wishes to hire a short-term consultant (3 months) to review, reorganize, simplify and establish a policy for its filing and documentation system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The consultant is responsible to perform the following duties:
- Review the current archives at the UNDP country office;
- Design a logical, simple and easy-to-manage filing system, including e-filing options;
- Re-organize and optimize archives in line with the proposed system within available space; and
- Ensure the new filing system is operational and brief concerned staff on maintenance and upkeep requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate will meet the following criteria:
- University degree in Bibliotheconomy, Information Assistance, Archiving or in related discipline;
- At least two years of practical experience as a librarian/bibliothecarian, or related relevant administrative work in setting up filing systems;
- Self-starter, meticulous and well organized at work; ability to process information rapidly;
- Fluent in English, Romanian and Russian;
- Immediate availability.
