Junior Consultant (Support to Central Public Administration Reform project)

Background
The revised and extended Support to Central Public Administration project follows up on the results achieved in 2006, and provides for continuation of support to capacity building interventions to put a modernized public administration system in place.  Strengthening the strategic planning capacity at the level of Government Office and putting in place a policy coordination system will address the needs identified by the Government of Moldova, and will increase the capacity of the Government to respond to the challenges of European integration.  The duration of the assignment is up to eight months.

Summary of tasks:
The main responsibilities will include monitoring of the activity flow and maintaining an up-to-date database of documents; support to the development of new policy papers and setting up of inter-ministerial working groups; provision of advice on sectoral issues and preparation of documents.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in economics, finance, law, public administration or other related field;
  • At least three years of progressively responsible professional experience in public administration, economics or finance;
  • Previous work experience with central government institutions is a strong advantage;
  • Good analytical and writing skills.
  • Fluency in both oral and written English and Romanian.
