Interpreter-assistant (Support to Government of Moldova to Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact Elaboration)
Background
UNDP supports the national development priorities of the Republic of Moldova through capacity building in the formulation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of development policies and programmes and through strengthening the national capacity to mobilize donor resources for their implementation. Upon the request of the Government of Moldova, UNDP Moldova is seeking to employ an experienced interpreter-assistant to provide support to the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Compact development Team through interpreting/translation and administrative actions, ensuring high quality, accuracy, timeliness and consistency of work..
General qualifications required:
- University degree in foreign languages/ economics/ business management;
- Fluency in both spoken and written Romanian, Russian, and English.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills;
- A minimum of 3 years progressive experience in translating/interpreting (at government or international organizations level);
- Previous experience in development assistance or related work for a donor organization, governmental institutions, NGO or private sector / consulting firm;
- Familiarity and understanding of economic terminology;
- Experience in communicating and cooperating with governmental, non- governmental, donors and private agencies;
- Proficiency in using computer applications MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, internet and e-mail.
