General Administrative Service Coordinator
Background
Under the overall guidance of the Operations Manager, the General Administrative Service Coordinator advises and manages all aspects related to general administration and common services. The coordination of logistical and travel services, UN House facilities management, security, ICT and common services consistent with UNDP rules and regulations. The main role is to support the smooth functioning of the UN common premises & facilities as well as CO/programmes & projects operations, with top-class consistent services delivery.
Summary of tasks:
- Ensures implementation of operational strategies
- Facilities management and supervision of the concerned staff
- Administrative services and supervision of concerned staff
- Assists in the elaboration and implementation of UN security policies and guidelines
- Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing
Qualifications and skills required:
- Secondary Education with specialized training in procurement or general services
- University Degree in Business or Public Administration would be desirable, but it is not a requirement
- 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible administrative experience is required at the national or international level
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc), advance knowledge of automated procurement systems, experience in handling of web based management systems
- Fluency in the UN and national language of the duty station
