UN House Receptionist position

Background: Under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Administrative Officer, direct supervisor, and Operations Manager, secondary supervisor, the UN House Receptionist provides reliable support services to the UN House staff, visitors and other clients. The UN House Receptionist demonstrates a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.

Receptionist / Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Routing communication via the switchboard;
  • Receiving all visitors, screening them and directing scheduled visitors to the respective offices;
  • Keeping electronic log of incoming visitors;
  • Operates the telephone switchboard, receive and respond to incoming calls;

Qualifications and skills required:
Secondary education, computer proficiency (office applications, internet), ability to operate fax, scanner, digital sender, and other office equipment; good typing skills. 2-3 years of related working experience. Knowledge of English. Good communication skills in the local languages (Romanian and Russian).
