Project Assistant -“Strengthening the National Statistical System” Joint Project

The project is aimed on Strengthening the National Statistical System to improve data collection, dissemination and utilization of statistical information with particular attention to national needs and overall conformity of official statistics with international standards analysis. Project includes three components dealing with data production, data dissemination, and data use respectively. The project represents joint effort of Government of Moldova, UNDP, UNIFEM and UNFPA.

Project Assistant:
The Project Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager and will liaise with the National Project Coordinator. He/she is responsible for financial and administrative management of the project activities, the drafting of quarterly and annual work plans and progress reports for review and monitoring by the Project Steering Committee, and provides assistance in the development of follow up project activities.

Qualifications and skills required:

  1. An university degree or specialized studies in Law, Economics (Finances/Accounting).
  2. Minimum three years of working experience in administrative and financial management.
  3. Ability to effectively use information technology for project implementation, good knowledge of Word and Excel is necessary.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of UNDP overall operations in the country, UNDP RBM tools.
Fluency in both oral and written English and Romanian is a must, knowledge of Russian desired
