MOLDOVAN BORDER GUARDS WILL INCREASE THEIR MOBILITY ON THE BORDER (2.11.2005)

A batch of new 80 auto-vehicles have been donated today to the Border Guard Service (BGS) of the Republic of Moldova within the Enhancing Border Control Management Programme, funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme in Moldova.

"Enhancing Border Control Management Program", funded by European Union, co-funded and implemented by UNDP Moldova, has recently carried out a public awareness workshop, with the representatives of the Border Guards Service, other relevant Bodies assigned with border management issues, international and national organizations, as well as with experts from different fields, on the need of reengineering and optimizing Border Guards Service due to the European Union requirements, stipulated in Articles 49-50 of EU-Moldova Action Plan.
